Should I advance my career in Plumbing?

Would it be a good idea to keep advancing? Such as moving up in ranks, such as becoming a Constructions Manager? Is it worth the time AND money?

A Construction Manager and a Professional Plumber are two different career paths. If you become a Construction Manager there will of course be elements of a project that include plumbing, but you wouldn't necessarily be hands on with those tasks - more so in charge of the progress and management side of things. Whereas plumbers have the technical skill and knowledge.

Plumbers (and many other trades) are in high demand and therefore cost a lot of money. For something as simple as installing a toilet or shower fixtures, the hourly rate can be a lot making it lucrative for the plumber.

Working in skilled trades like plumbing is certainly a worthwhile career path. There is high demand for this work, which can pay well and offers the opportunity to be self-employed or work for a company.

Trades people are always in high demand. But you have a good head on your shoulders if you are looking for advancement already. Working in a skilled trade tends to take a toll on your body so moving up to management is a good idea for when your body is unable to handle the more physical aspects of the job.
