How do I start my own business?

I want to start my own business working with metal fabrication and welding. What licenses would i need to start up?

License requirements differ depending on where you are located. You'll have to check into that personally. Certifications are a must for welding. They tell your customer you know what you are doing. Some jobs actually require them, ie. pipe/tube welding, as a journey man your tested usually before each job. The tests are, cut test- your weld is cut to show a cross section to show fusion and penetration. They also do x-rays to show this.

Have your thought about what industry you would like to start the business on? Below is my suggestion :
1. Firstly, you may to identify the industry you would like to start the business. You can start thinking of the industries that you have interest on. E.g. if you are interested in Arts, would you like to do graphic design, fashion design, etc. Alternatively, would you like to run garage?
2. You may have identified a number of industries. Then, you can analyze the these industries, e.g. any entry cost/barrier? market competition status? Any substitutes?
3. If you have the opportunities, you can work in the industry to understand the business model.
4. Take the relevant subjects in college.
5. Start the business online first if possible.
