I have some questions regarding welding and was hoping to get some help with them.

1. How great of a learning curve does welding have, does it get more difficult with time or easier?

2. What will be the most likely experience I'll have when I first start out welding in the workforce, will I be given a lot of opportunities to prove my worth or will it end up being a lot of grunt work?

3. What is the best advice you could give me in terms of getting better at welding aside from practice, are there any tips or tricks you could tell me?

4. What is the likelihood of being able to get into the entertainment industry or be a commercial diver as a welder?

If you’re doing it right,welding should get easier and your welds should show improvement. There might come a time maybe after 40 years of welding that your hands might not e as steady or you eyesight not as keen . That’s why they make cheater lenses for your helmet.

Every place is different but whether you are a beginner or a expert,you will have to show what you know . An expert will have to be able to prove their worth while a beginner will have to prove their ability to learn and improve. Sometimes when work gets a little slow,the new welder might have to do some grunt work to stay employed.

Always try to be comfortable while welding. Double check your work before you weld it up . Ask if you’re not sure,AirArcing welds are not fun. Making simple fixtures to hold your parts for welding helps in production runs.

My guess is it’s probably easier to be a diver . It’s a job that is probably high in demand and pays really well.
