Do college students can still apply for scholarships?

So that I won't have to apply for any loans while in school.

Scholarships are always available even if you have already started your college career. You will have the most selection as you graduate high school but your financial office can assist you with specific scholarship options for your major (from the History Department for example if that's your major) that are available. My daughter has used this route to apply for several scholarships for her upcoming sophomore year at MSU Texas. Additionally there are websites you can use to find opportunities for scholarships and grants. One is listed below and another one is here:

I don't know if you can still apply for scholarships that are offered through the school, but you should still be able to apply for scholarships that are offered by independent organizations.
