Paul’s Answer

Hi Alejandro:

There are many colleges and universities that currently have strong soccer and academic programs. But let's see the top 10 as published by mooxye.com

  1. Stanford University
  2. Indiana University
  3. Wake Forest
  4. University of North Carolina (which also has one of most powerful women's soccer programs)
  5. University of Akron (Ohio)
  6. Southern Methodist University (Texas)
  7. University of Louisville (Kentucky)
  8. Clemson University (South Carolina)
  9. Duke University (North Carolina)
  10. Michigan State University

These are all very good NCAA Division I programs, but I would also research the three other college divisions as well.

This includes colleges and universities in NCAA Division II and Division III. In addition there is also the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), which includes many of the smaller sized state and private colleges and universities in the United States.

Paul recommends the following next steps:

Review the various colleges and university soccer programs, including ones in NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III and NAIA
Log into the college athletic program website and locate the "College Athlete Interest Form" and complete it. Include all your personal information, academic accomplishments, athletic accomplishments and the athletic program you would like to communicate with.
Contact the college and submit an information request about the various academic programs and majors at the institution. Also obtain information on academic requirements to become a member of the athletic program.
See an academic advisor and determine an academic path you would like to achieve during your tenure at the college or university.
