Hi there, I like the fact that you like to talk to people and meet people to make new friends. While fast food service is fun at times the pay varies depending on what you do. You might do well in a sales environment of any kind for example (cell phone sales, technology sales). That way you can make money and talk to people. A lot of that work operates on commission (you get a portion of the overall sale). What I am trying to say that customer service and sales can be very profitable across many different industries.

Kaitlin’s Answer

Most fast food jobs are around minimum wage and do not include healthcare. One exception that I'm aware of is that Starbucks does provide healthcare to their employees.

If you like to socialize and meet new people you may also be interested in a career in the hospitality field or sales/customer service as also mentioned.

Good luck!

Gary’s Answer

Hi,
I have seen fast food employee starting hourly labor as high as $15 per hour recently. I recommend maybe starting in a full service casual dinign chain as I had. I also recommend getting a food service worker National Restaurant Association ServSafe certificate. Thanks!

Jim’s Answer

It varies depending on which fast food establishment you work out. For the most part, it is the local minimum wage or a little higher. Nothing crazy.
