How hard is it to learn to code?

#coding #technology

Thank you comment icon I am glad that you are interested on coding. I suggest you try to start to do some coding yourself. That is the best for you to experience how coding is. There are plenty of different resources online. You can choose to use some simple ones to start with first and work in some tiny projects. For examples, you start using Scratch, Python, etc. These are popular coding language that kids usually start with. Having said that, these languages can used to do some interesting projects, e.g. control a robotic cars, robots, etc. If you find you are interested in coding, you can consider to learn other programming languages , e.g. Java Scripts, Java, C, etc. And, you can consider to take Computer Science course in the college. It will give you an overall understanding of computer theories and exposure to different coding languages. Hope this helps! Good Luck! Rebecca Tang

From my experience, learning how to code is like learning a new language. It takes hard work to understand the complexities of the different coding languages. If you are passionate about coding, it can be something that comes rather naturally to you. I learned how to code in R first and now learning how to code in different platforms has been easier since I have a base to build upon.

I would highly recommend Googling or searching for help on YouTube. There are professional coders that will offer a lot of advice and tips for free on these sites. Leverage these prior to paying for additional services.

You can learn coding only by doing it (after learning basic concepts).
And as you keep doing coding, i.e. you practice more and more coding, you will eventually master it.
Learn basic coding principles, algorithms etc. and then try coding anything for practice.
For example, you can start coding simple mathematics problems, then move to complex problems like puzzles etc.
This will help you develop logic and you will also develop more and more interest into coding any problem.

You can use any programming language to code. As Rebecca and Sanjana already mentioned, Python is easy to learn and have tons of in-built libraries into it.

I would say as long you have the interest to learn how to code, it shouldn't be too bad. The difficulty may vary from language to language as well. Some people find Python easier to learn than R, for example. There are many resources online to begin learning on your own. Code Academy, YouTube videos, and virtual bootcamps may be a good place to start.

I had the same feeling/question before I learned to code, and something that I learned and was very useful for me is to let go of pre made ideas and experience it, if everyone can do it you can and you will! it is just a matter of trying and you will se it is easy and that you can do it perfectly.
