I'm not 100% sure what you mean by counsellor, but it sounds like you are referring to giving businesses advice in international business strategy and implementation. If that is true, then you might be referring to an industry we call "consulting" (also known as "strategy consulting"). I was a consultant at a large consulting firm for 6 years. The educational requirements are usually to attend a 4-year degree program. There is a lot of variety in what consultants major in, but some of the most common degrees are in business or economics. It is extremely important to get relatively high grades, and even more important to demonstrate your leadership abilities through your extracurricular and summer activities. Consulting positions are very competitive, so attending the best school you can get accepted to will help you to get a leg up. |
