What is the day in the life of a Business Analyst?
Hello all, I'm back again asking another question. I decided to purse a career in Business Analytics, although in the future it could change. I have dipped my toes into the analytics world by partaking in an externship. I am now wondering if this career is right for me. Some questions that I want to know are:
1. How does SQL play a part in your daily life?
2. How did you manage to gain experience to get where you are right now?
3. Any advice for a future Business Analyst?

Hey, congrats on the externship and starting to explore career options. That's exactly what they are for! My career journey began as a business analyst, even though I had little knowledge of SQL or data analysis at the time. I was part of a corporate strategy team and learned a great deal on the job, including the fact that I didn't enjoy spending my entire day immersed in data. :)
My leaders guided me towards adopting a broader, more strategic mindset, a skill that continues to be beneficial in my career.
Remember that your primary role is to understand and analyze the challenges and opportunities that your company faces, and to propose potential solutions. Data is a valuable tool that can assist you in achieving this. The data is a great tool to help you get there. Keeping the big-picture and goals in mind will help differentiate you into a business analyst that's ready to grow their career!
