I just wanted to ask before pursuing this major

As a current high school senior, I’m uncertain about which career path to pursue in, and with college applications approaching, I feel pressured to make a choice soon. I’d like to learn more about different fields to gain a better sense of direction before committing.

I just wanted to ask since I don't know what to study for in college.

Many people try to get job in computer science field, which creates a big competitive, but I really want to work in this field.

I have enough free time to be working on any skills related to mechanical engineering. Should I leave behind any extra-curricular that are unimportant to this?

I'm first looking for a major in Chemistry, but am thinking of specifying into Chemical Engineering. How am I meant to get there?

What are some skills that someone could learn and improve to better work for a career in something mathematics related? or possibly something related to engineering and physics based.

I'm currently in High School and I'm failing AP Calculus which is making me anxious I might not get into college because of an F.

Should I find a way to drop the class?
