Yes, some physical therapists work with wound care. This could be in a hospital setting or other type of in patient or out patient setting. In the initial stages the care could involve cleaning and dressing or helping to prevent tightness, swelling or scarring. When the wound is healed the care could include helping to regain any lost motion or function. Some physical therapist have chosen this area to specialize in.
