Hello! Before you start selling your valuables in your room, have you considered taking remote temp jobs? I signed up accounts at FlexJobs (https://www.flexjobs.com/) and did some writing for Upwork (https://www.upwork.com/) for as low as $25 per task to as much as $100 per task. They're usually short, temporary assignments that people need help with, like writing an article, or creating a spreadsheet to help them organize themselves. And you can do it right at home!

Otherwise, you can also try to sell everyday items on eBay to get a bit more cash. People who are into arts and crafts sometime use eBay to get stuff you probably have lying around the house right now, like clean jars, old charger cords, well maintained gift boxes, that sort of thing.

Good luck!

Jennifer recommends the following next steps:

Use the term "remote jobs" on job search engines to see which temporary jobs you can do at home (ie: FlexJob, Upwork, Indeed.com, etc)
Check out this article on the Penny Hoarder blog, it may be helpful when you are considering what kind of things to sell that you already have: https://www.thepennyhoarder.com/make-money/surprising-things-you-can-sell-on-ebay/?aff_id=2&aff_sub2=super-flexible-ways-to-make-money-in-college

It depends on the items you are selling, typically the items that have the most resale value would be designer items, jewelry (esp gold). Technology loses its value everyday. I highly recommend if you need the money to pay for college is getting a job and setting aside money every month to pay for it. Try to set goals for yourself every month. You can set aside $500 a month or whatever amount is in reason with your budget.
