Which careers should I look into?

My interests include linguistics, english, writing, editing, and psychology. Additionally, I really enjoy learning new things and researching. I also enjoy explaining things to others and tutoring. Are there any careers out there that might suit these interests?

Tricia’s Answer

What a great question! Your interests relate to working towards being a Psychologist or a profession in Journalism. There are medical & psychology magazines that are looking for people who have your interests in mind. As a researcher, I was able to intern for Billboard magazine. This lead me to writing, public relations and my interest in psychology. I applied to various schools and wrote articles for magazines. I made great money and got my name out there for the next opportunity.

Mohd Nurhafiz’s Answer

It is good that you have a lot of interests but I would suggest that you do an assessment of your career interest that would match your future careers. I would suggest to take an online assessment so that at least you would have a clear understanding.

Mohd Nurhafiz recommends the following next steps:

Identify your career interest.
Matct it with the most suitable career of your choice
Decide.

Tam’s Answer

In addition to possibilities others have suggested, I think your interests converge on being a cognitive science professor. Why cog sci? It is a multifaceted field, and a major branch of it is in linguistics. You like teaching, writing, and researching - all of this are skills and and interests that fit a a researcher/professor. Note that this would require a phd. I would suggest you look into tenured professor career tracks to have a better understanding of the path for this type of career.
