Hi Mila, I think any role within security will require skills in critical thinking and communication. How you apply those skills may be different, so I would focus developing those skills based on how you envision your career. For example, do you like investigation/solving individual issues or complex, cross-functional ones? If investigative roles aren't your preference, perhaps you like implementing processes/procedures or analyzing & verifying them? Do you hope to do a lot of speaking/presenting or report details up the chain? Just a different perspective as you think of skills you want to focus on developing and then highlight during your job search!

Hi Mila,
Some great skills to have are investigative skills, risk management skills and decision-making skills. Security often involves seeing warning signs or finding evidence of threats, determining the risk and impacts and then quickly deciding what to do about it or how to safely fix the problem or prevent it from happening in the first place.
Develop your skills along those lines and you'll be able to pursue any line of work in Security.
