If you have the curiosity to become a health coach, along with an interest in the topic, passion, time, and a computer, it's as easy as that. Health Coach Institute offers online certification and classes. It was a structured program that you could complete in 6 months or up to a year. You’re matched with other coaches for labs where you practice your skills. Four years ago, you had to complete one coaching client in order to earn your certification, but I'm not sure what the current requirements are. I also don’t recall the cost I paid, but you can visit their website for more details. The certification is dual—both for health and life coaching.
