There are sooooo many. Maybe you could narrow it down - what are you looking for? Is it your requirement to stay in Massachusetts? If not, how far from this state are you willing to go? Are you looking for colleges in other countries? Is there a range of cost you need to be within? Are you striving for scholarships? Do you want to attend a co-ed college? Does the college need to offer intramural sports (e.g., basketball, football)? Do you want to be able to take liberal arts electives?

Andrew’s Answer

Consider what aspect of Civil Engineering you might enjoy: structures, environmental, materials, transportation--probably missing some here. Sometimes that can inform the focus of your civil engineering education in the final two years and a certain college may have strength in your area of interest.

Often the discount between in-state tuition and out-of-state tuition are substantial, specifically with state funded schools, but often merit-based or family-need financial aid can level this out-of-state premium, or often private school tuition are largely indifferent to residency. I'd suggest not limiting yourself to MA, though there's plenty of fine schools there.

Andrew recommends the following next steps:

Devote time to study and do your best on admissions tests. (SAT or ACT). Taking a test now at your grade level is a good start to see where you're at, knowing there's room to improve.
Get or stay involved in extracurricular activities (academic, merit, volunteering, or sports)--this will give you argument to financial aid flexibility in or out of MA.
Research university rankings. If you search the net for "civil engineering undergraduate" ranking should get you in the right direction.
Do campus visits early and often.
Keep good impressions among your school and local community to help with letters of recommendation for admissions and financial aid.
