My dream is to become a ceo for a company, but I’m a very quiet person and I don’t know if i will be able to have successful career in business since I don’t talk. I see shows of business people and there always giving presentations and talking in front of bigwudiences and I’m willing to try but I’m afraidit winter enough

I am an extrovert- and I LOVE working with Introverts- they keep me calm and remind me to stop, think, and ask others. Often times introverts are so much better leaders because they listen more and consider others. Check out this Ted talk- the presenter is an introvert: https://www.ted.com/talks/susan_cain_the_power_of_introverts

Ritesh’s Answer

I think anything is possible. I am introvert by nature too, however I become a little more extrovert as I get to know people and become more comfortable. Supporting my wife with her business and volunteer activities has really allowed me to become more confident and more verbal around others. I think it takes practice but you can do it. I am still an introvert for the most part, but I am able to 'turn it on' when in groups of people or in meetings.

Ritesh recommends the following next steps:

Consider joining smaller activity groups that will help you break out of your shell, help you become more confident and arm you with the tools to help you achieve the success you are looking for. The first part is knowing you want to do it. Suggestions: Join Toastmasters, volunteer your time so you can meet new people and become comfortable around others.

Hi there. You can absolutely be successful! I am an introvert and have my PhD in Business Management and working on a second Masters. I am also a Sr. Manager and relatively successful. Look for ways to practice the things that stress you. I found Toastmasters extremely helpful with public speaking for example.
