Technical engineering is a dynamic profession that works alongside engineers to maintain equipment and tech systems and oversee product quality. In addition, technical engineers are responsible for keeping everything running smoothly and keeping hardware and software up to date. As an example if you’ve ever called an IT help desk, a technical engineer may have walked you through the solution. It's important to note that technical engineering is a different career than engineering. At the same time, a technical engineer works with devices to improve and repair equipment and processes, and an engineer designs and develops that equipment and those processes in the first place.

TECHNICAL ENGINEER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supporting the engineering team during planning, design, development, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting processes.
• Analyzing existing systems and operations and developing preventative maintenance strategies.
• Identifying potential problems and notifying the relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Monitoring processes, workers, and methods, and developing plans for increased efficiency.
•Conducting required research and developing best practices.
•Coordinating with other Engineers and crew members to ensure quality products are completed on schedule.
•Performing quality control on all projects, writing reports, and making recommendations for improvement.

TECHNICAL ENGINEER'S
REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The basic academic qualification for a technical engineer is a bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline. Some companies may employ diploma holders with relevant diplomas and work experience in a technical field. For example, if you are keen on becoming a technical engineer in civil engineering, you can pursue a bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering. If you want to be a technical engineer in IT, you may pursue a bachelor's degree or a diploma in computer science or Information Technology.

As a Software Engineer most of the time we are:
(1) Meeting with the managers to know what are the new requirements to be implemented and feedback on already implemented features.
(2) Writing code, basically implemented whatever is needed. Nowadays tools like Copilot, Cursor and ChatGPT are really useful. But we also look in documentations and blogs like StackOverflow.
(3) Review code. Yes, that's right! sometimes we have to spend hours checking and fixing code to make sure it does what it's supposed to!

I work at my dream job of Civil Engineer that I had envisioned for myself in High School.
When I told my friends how I wanted to be an engineer, they all thought it was a boring job, but they were wrong, because engineering is complex and ever-changing.
Engineering presents daily challenges in engaging current projects, marketing for future work, keeping up with plans, specifications and estimates, and the most difficult concept of all, keeping the clients happy.
