Hello, RL !

First some clarifications of terms. DOUBLE MAJOR - This is when a college student enrolls simultaneously in two Major subjects and gets one Bachelors Degree in one subject and one Bachelors Degree in an additional subject at the same time. DUAL ENROLLMENT - This is when a student is in high school, takes their classes in high school and takes one or two college courses in a college. DUAL DEGREE - There is no "duality" in a Bachelors Degree. In a sense, a Bachelors Degree can have a purpose for two or more careers, but each Bachelors Degree is in a subject onto itself. There really isn't a classification of a "Dual Degree".

If you mean Double Majoring in college, I would advise against it. You will have to pay for every Unit (credit) you enroll in and have to double up on courses. It's expensive. The workload of many classes can be overwhelming. Employers never require double majors when hiring. It may take more than four years to get your degrees. Double majoring can be exhausting and leave you no time to focus on your health and social life. Many greatly successful people have done the one Major for their degree.

It's true that people can have more than one level degree such as an Associates, a Bachelors as well as a Masters Degree and beyond. But those are LEVELS of degrees, not a dual or triad of degrees.

Since I actually sense that you are asking about double majoring, I advise not to do it. It will also depend on the intensity of the two subjects you are thinking of double majoring in. I would advise going for a Bachelors in one subject and then going for your Masters Degree after that. That typically takes six years in duration.

Instead of double majoring to impress future employers, you can do volunteer work, internships, paid employment or Work Study jobs to put on a resume. It's great that you are exploring this because you will have to make the ultimate decision. I wish you all the best !

Having more than one degree presents more potential, but one degree with a Master's is quite powerful.
