I was not a security guard, but when i was in the Navy i worked as security forces. I was stationed in Rota, Spain. We had a massive wave of illegal immigrants from Morocco land on our base. We spent the day using K9's and the air traffic control tower to apprehend 39 migrants. Some were hostile, some were cooperative.
We used the Air traffic control tower's ideal view of the base to send us communications on where we needed to go to start the search. Then we would deploy the dogs to track. It was a day full of adrenaline apprehending the suspects not knowing if it was going to be a peaceful encounter, or a fight.
Going into any security field, you must be prepared for anything that can come at you. This means having the right tools for the job, and the right mindset going into each day. You must have a clear head, and be able to use your situational awareness to get ahead of others around you.
