What skills do you need to have to operate a forklift?
I've seen many businesses that use forklifts, and I was wondering what skills are needed to operate one. #career #construction

Common Sense, driver's license, and the ability to read english - operators manual. Forklift operation can be taught in one day. Not really tough but those darn machines tend to tip-over if you are not paying attention to the site/location you are working on , don't wear the seat-belt, and speed. As an OSHA related inspector I have done my share to forklift screw-up accident scenes, lucky no one was killed but injured.
