Have a growth mindset. Nobody has all the answers and that is OK. We all have things we can learn. Admit when you don't know something. Embrace learning something new.

Hi Wyatt! Set clear goals and break them down into small, manageable steps. Focus on progress, not perfection, and be patient with yourself. Keep learning by reading or picking up new skills. Surround yourself with people who inspire and challenge you. Recognize your weaknesses and work on improving them, whether through feedback or new habits! Best of luck!

Striving to be better—whether in your career, personal life, or overall growth—requires intentional effort and a mindset focused on continuous improvement. Here are some practical steps you can take:
1. Define Your Goals
- Reflect on what "better" means to you. Is it improving in a skill, becoming more disciplined, or achieving a specific milestone?
- Break your goals into smaller, achievable steps to avoid feeling overwhelmed.
2. Embrace Lifelong Learning
- Read books, take courses, and stay updated in your field or areas of interest.
- Learn from others—mentors, peers, or even feedback from those around you.
3. Get Comfortable with Discomfort
- Growth often comes from stepping out of your comfort zone. Take on challenges that scare or intimidate you.
- Push through failure and view it as an opportunity to learn rather than a setback.
4. Develop Good Habits
- Identify habits that align with your goals (e.g., waking up earlier, exercising, dedicating time to creative work).
- Be consistent, even when motivation wanes—discipline is key to long-term progress.
5. Seek Feedback
- Ask for constructive criticism from people you trust. Use it to understand your blind spots and areas for improvement.
- Reflect on mistakes and identify patterns you can work on.
6. Take Care of Yourself
- Prioritize your physical and mental health. A healthy body and mind are foundational to personal growth.
- Make time for rest, mindfulness, or hobbies that bring you joy.
7. Be Patient with Yourself
- Progress takes time. Celebrate small victories and remember that growth is a journey, not a destination.
8. Surround Yourself with Positivity
- Spend time with people who inspire and challenge you to be better.
- Avoid toxic environments or habits that drain your energy.
9. Document Your Progress
- Track your growth through journaling or regular self-reflection. This can help you see how far you’ve come and motivate you to keep going.
10. Give Back
- Helping others grow or succeed can also help you develop empathy, leadership skills, and a sense of fulfillment.

Some things that you can do:
Have a Growth Mindset: Embrace challenges and see them as opportunities to learn and expand your skills. You've got the power to get better at anything!
Start With Small Steps: Break big goals into small tasks. Study a bit extra each day, or practice that guitar for 15 minutes. Consistency is key!
Self-Care Rocks: Prioritize sleep, eat well, and do fun stuff. Treat yourself like a VIP to stay energized and motivated.
Always be Open to Learn from Others: Your peers and teachers are a goldmine of knowledge. Ask for help and learn from their experiences.

Alex’s Answer
Hi Wyatt,
Being self-aware and wanting to improve is already the first step in striving to be better!
I would recommend doing daily reflection/meditation sessions, thinking about something that you have achieved successfully and makes me you feel proud/accomplished. Also look to contemplate something that didn't completely go your way and think about how you could've acted differently and what the result of those actions might be. Self-evaluation is key to learning more about yourself and finding different opportunities to improve in your daily life.
Best of luck on your journey to self-improvement!
