Danielle’s Answer
Hi Denzel. There are so many opportunities for programming and coding, the possibilities are nearly endless. I've found that the podcast CodeNewbie has been a very interesting resource. Each episode focuses on a successful guest's path to both increasing their expertise and what he or she was able to accomplish. For example, I've heard several episodes about guests who had put their skills to good use by creating an app geared towards helping people in need. Find a need and search for a clever answer and you'll be successful.

Even programming has fields of expertise. Yes, opportunities are endless, but senior programmers who know specific fields might be able to earn more, such as telecommunication networking software, cybersecurity software, data analytics, robotics, etc. depends on where and how you'd like to start.
Search in google with keywords like: "top companies in software defined networking", "top companies in healthcare management software", then look at the job requirements for software developers or software engineers. You will be able to zoom in to something you like. By putting you coding skill to good use, working in specific projects let you see the RESULTS in how things work and you will find a field that's considered "cool" to you.
