Hi Madisyn,

Here is a link for your question. You need to become an RN and you need to get your license. I hope this helps you out.

Donna L.’s Answer

"Nursing" is the major in many universities and private colleges. As part of your education, you will have to work in several different areas of nursing to gain enough experience to graduate. Nurse candidates often select their field of practice based on the types of rotations they experienced. If you want to be a Labor and Delivery nurse, you'll need to request that program (or apply for candidacy) to obtain specific experience before you graduate. Labor and Delivery is one nursing field that is more difficult than others to land right after graduation. Specific unit experience is typically expected before being accepted into that field. Work with your nursing program coordinator to know the available opportunities and expectations, if you already have an idea of how you want to spend your compassionate and loving nursing occupation.
