Do you have to go through Q School to get to the PGA?
I am wondering if you can just go straight from college or not.#golf #athletics

So there are a few ways to get on the pga tour.
You can go throw q school with consists of 4 stages.
pre-q
q stage 1
q stage 2
q stage 3.
This will get you on the Korn Ferry from there top 20 money leaders get pga starts the following season and if you win twice on the korn ferry tour you are also in the pga tour.
You can also qualify on the monday events. If you can get in through there and come in the top 25 of the pga tour event you are exempt to starting the following week. From there you will then have fed ex cup points and can keep the pga tour season alive.

It's not a requirement to go to Q School to play on the PGA tour. With winning qualifying tournaments you can get exemptions to play. Also, you can play as an amateur, but you have to have the funding.

There are many feeder tours that lead into the Korn Ferry tour, like PGA Latinoamerica, where many golfers play to hone their skills and try to make it up the ranks as well.
