How many careers are there where there is moving and placing storage?
I was wondering if there are any careers that just include moving things around for certain clients. #labor #moving #exercise #mover #blue-collar

It sounds like your question is about public storage facilities and moving companies. But I think you really mean, and probably should consider anyway, a career in general Materials Handling. Well, you've hit the jackpot, because recent advances in automation and robotics is branching out from moving boxes to assembling products to general warehouse management. Take a look at the videos of automated warehouses in companies like Amazon. One of my projects was to automate the transport and storage and tracking of production and service of medical devices. This project increased in size and complexity and was a fascinating effort. The problems that came up were many and intriguing and challenging. Some were as simple as moving a box with a barcode on it to the right bin. Some were to put a device under a laser scanner to get data from it but also to check for damage. If you extrapolate from this instance to all the products and services you see and hear of and use each day, you can see the variety of careers you might consider. The best way to do this is to start. Find companies that do what you are interested in. Contact them and simply ask their advice. They'll likely be more than glad to hear from you and to give you guidance. Or even hire you. And then you're on your way.
