Hi Everyone! I am glad to say that I've graduated my Preteaching education classes! I am now Certified (for my age) to become a tutor or a big sister for my school !

Even though I'm so proud of myself, I am kind of confused on what to do next. I have decided that, whenever I get into college (Alabama state!) I'll decide on what grade level I will teach. But, I have a pre-degree, what do I do with it? Help please???

Hello, Treasure Mariee !

That is such wonderful news to know ! Congratulations !

Okay, so you do not have a Pre-Degree, you have taken pre-degree classes and have a certification. There is no recognition of a Pre-Degree, it's the certification that now qualifies you to be a Tutor, so that's what you can do. As for a Big Sister, I am not sure that that is a paid job, ask your school exactly what the role is and if you get paid or if it's voluntary, at your school or in the community. The Big Sisters in the community are volunteers, not paid employees. Clarify this with your school and the teacher who gave the certification class.

You may want to sign up with some online tutor companies, but keep in mind that they may want you to commit to a certain number of hours per week and many times it is during school hours or after school. Check your schedule to see if you can do this online first. I would return to your certification teacher and ask if you can get work tutoring students at your school. I am not sure why they didn't explain this to you when you passed certification, but you can go back and ask. They should know in-person, local on site places to refer you to be a tutor. Also clarify with the teacher if this certification qualifies you to volunteer or if it's for a position you can get paid for.

Never hesitate to have everything clarified by the person who provided the training or education for you. They are the official people who can give you details and tell you everything you need to know. Keep up the good work and I wish you all the best !
