What would be the most important tips in order to mentally get through both college and nursing school?

I am a student that struggles with mental health and ultimately I am afraid that I am not good enough or smart enough at times for college. I want to know the best ways to tackle both college and nursing school and to feel more confident and comfortable in my abilities. I also want to know more about the college experience in its entirety.

Hi Cambrie,

I hope these tips can help students with mental health challenges navigate college life a bit easier. Thanks for reading!

Manage Your Academics Smartly

- Talk to your professors about what you're going through. They might be able to give you extra time for assignments or offer different ways to complete your work.
- Set goals that you can achieve. Don't take on too much at once. Break big tasks into smaller parts and work through them at your own pace.

Live a Healthy Lifestyle

- Keep a regular sleep schedule. Good sleep is important for feeling well both mentally and physically. Try to have a calming bedtime routine to help you sleep better.
- Eat a balanced diet. Make sure your meals have a mix of nutrients, and try not to eat too much junk food, caffeine, or alcohol, as they can affect your mood.
- Stay active. Exercise can make you feel happier by releasing endorphins. Find an activity you like, such as walking, yoga, or swimming, and make it a regular habit.
