I would say knowing what to expect will really help you. You can take this free, short course (less than 1 hour) on HP LIFE to learn resume writing and interview skills- https://www.life-global.org/course/362-resume-writing-and-job-interviewing
At the end of course, you will receive a free certificate that you can post on your LinkedIn page.
Good luck!

Hi Krista, super great question! I have recently interviewed several people at my company and my best advice is to work on your "Soft" skills...I have learned that candidates can usually learn any job, but how they relate to me and my team is as important or more important than their business skills. Soft skills are communication, listening, ease at discussing themselves and their life/hobbies in general are super important. I always hire people that will mesh well with the team rather than the most talented from a skills perspective and if you have both...you're hired!

To stand out in an interview, let your personality shine. Be confident and share your experience and knowledge about the job you're applying for. It's perfectly fine to bring a notebook with questions about the role. Remember, most interviewers want to see how well you'll fit into the team.

Companies like employees who are adaptable, flexible and eager to learn
Describe how you will approach a problem if you are provided with a scenario. Using the STAR method helps you answer an interview question.
Situation: Briefly describe the context or background of the situation you're discussing.
Task: Explain the specific task or challenge you faced within that situation.
Action: Detail the specific actions you took to address the task or challenge.
Result: Clearly state the outcome or result of your actions, highlighting what you learned or achieved.

Hi Kristi,
Getting ready for a job interview is super important, and you've got this! Start by really understanding what the job involves, what the company expects, and what they value. Picture yourself doing the tasks and think of examples from your life that show your skills. These examples can come from work, sports, or hobbies, and can highlight your creativity, leadership, or teamwork.
Make sure to arrive early and have a simple but strong introduction ready about yourself. During the interview, it's important to connect with the interviewer. Remember, it's also a chance for you to see if you like the role and the company.
Keep a positive attitude, and it will make a big difference.
Good luck!
