Thank you for your question. Many students have similar questions.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Join the orientation program organised by the college or faculty
2. Visit the campus to familiarize the facilities and campus
3. If you will stay in dom, move in early to collaborate with your hallmates
4. Review the syllabus before semester commence
Hope this helps! Good luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Hey Elizabeth,

I would say the hardest thing about moving to college is acclimating to it all. One day you go from living in your parents home and a neighborhood. Into a dorm on a campus that might or might not have more people living there than your entire hometown. The vast number of people, new things to do, try, and experience, on top of all the academic stuff can be overwhelming. It takes time to learn what to do with that new found freedom and how to be productive amidst all those distractions. There is no guidebook to figuring out a schedule that works for you and what the right balance of studying and personal time looks like. But that's the beauty of the process. Take that first week or 2 and dive into anything that seems interesting to you with the expectation you'll probably need to dial your commitments back some over the course of the semester. The best advice I can give is get to know people those first few days and weeks. ask them what's worked for them and helped them acclimate. especially the upperclassmen. This helped me tremendously and helped me to get plugged into various things like tutoring, career service center, etc. I learned a lot about all the resources my campus had to offered and my constant reminder is YOU ARE PAYING FOR THEM. So you should be using every resource at your disposal to be successful(and to have fun).
