Emily’s Answer

Summer jobs are a great way to try different fields. Since they are short term, if you end up not liking the job it is not forever! So go outside of your comfort zone. Great summer jobs are local and involve you in the community.

Emily recommends the following next steps:

Go to your local community center or YMCA and see if they have a job posting board or they might know somewhere else to search.

Vaidehi’s Answer

Child care or community sports centers need temporary help for Children's Summer programs/Summer camps. Yes YMCA could be one of them. I would check to see if they have openings. Also, think about any skills you are good at? It could be even kids homework help or music lessons or even occasional babysitters. I know parents always prefer community folks to watch their kids or help them learn something. There are many websites where you can put your ads or your Nextdoor neighborhood app. It can totally be something you enjoy doing. Good luck!
