How do you gain the confidence around an operating room to ensure the patient safety and physician standards are met?

I am currently in the medical field and now going back to school to become a surgical tech. I wanted to change my career path and further my education.

Hi Lisa,

It's wonderful that you want to take the next step. It's understandable that you are nervous about taking on a new role with new responsibilities. But you already work in healthcare. Think back to when you started. At some point you were new and didn't know so much. But you mastered it. Now, you are the experienced one.

Don't worry about the new role. You'll master that as well. You'll go to school to learn what you need to know. There will be hands-on training. And as a new surgical tech, your colleagues will help. Ask questions if you are not sure. You'll develop the confidence because you'll know what to do and have the experience.

I hope this helps for now! All the best to you! You got this!
