Sergei’s Answer

Here are recommendations, having gotten a robotics-related mechanical engineering degree. The list, not exhaustive, is : Micro-controllers ( a VERY good course and the best to take), Controls / Control Theory, Mechanics of solids, MAKE / some sort of inventor course ( usually an elective ), general electronics / electrical engineering course ( usually under electrical engineering degree but you usually have to take it anyway for most engineering majors), machine design ( usually have to take it as a mechanical engineering student) . Also, maybe modern physics (yes Quantum Mechanics!) and/or Vibrations or some sort of signal processing/signals course from personal experience (usually both electives). Also, get into any robotics club, or start a robotics/inventing/prototyping club of your own(that's what I did). Also, learn robotics in your spare time. See this good video I made regarding how to learn robotics : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XVy-NW0qWU&t=53s Hope that helps.

Hi Keerthana,

I can't tell you which course is the best for robotic engineering, but the classic automatic control theory is basic keystone to help you, as you need control the motor, which is the joint of robot.

Best Regards
Evan
