What are the best ways to grow your business?

I am currently a distributor for an essential oil business. I joined because I love their products, their values, and the support I receive from friends and associates who are members as well. I am not a sales representative. I have a few relatives that are skeptical. I am still very green and learning the business aspects. I buy and use their products, share it on my social media accounts, and hope folks will be interested too. Money is tighter now since we are a single income household. I want to prove that there can and will be a success in this business. Like many other companies, you sometimes have to spend money to make money. I do want to know what are the best ways to succeed in a business especially when you can't dedicate full-time? If you own your business whether it is an MLM or not, what tactics or skills do you use to bring prospects in? How do you attract customers?

I feel like this is such a great question that many can relate to! Before anything else I think the question is what you want your life to look like on the day to day. Do you like the idea of getting on lots of calls, explaining the products, training other people to connect and grow their own teams? If so, then MLM sounds like a good fit! And what does "success" look like? How much money is that? I think something people forget when trying to grow and MLM biz is to really think about what they want. There are so many ways to make money that we ignore because we think they aren't as simple, yet, what I found was that I could never DO the things to build a big income in MLM because the truth was that my Soul wanted something else (hope that's not too woo woo).


As for how to grow, I think first and foremost is showing up AUTHENTICALLY and CONSISTENTLY. Consistency trumps because most people aren't consistent. Also people buy people, not products. So find you personal flavor, and use it by sharing it! Share your weirdness and uniqueness. Allow people to fall in love with YOU, and then add in little mentions of your products here in there. From a practical standpoint, the biggest thing you need to do is simply get people on calls! Most don't want to do this, but the truth is that face to face (video by zoom or skype calls) are the most effective. Each person is an individual and an MLM business is built person by person, seeing, hearing, and really connecting with what THEY need and want. If you don't want to ask people to get on calls and listen to them and really connect, I don't think success is possible. Long winded messages, and sales-y posts just don't work anymore. People have BS meters and we want personal connection.
