Hey Ali,
In order to become a dentist, you will need to go to college, then apply for dental schools. Upon graduating dental school, you will receive doctorate in dentistry so you will be known as a doctor. This is still different in comparison to a doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathic medicine.

As a side note, to doctor means to teach so there can be doctorates of lots of different fields and it does not necessarily mean that you are a doctor who treats diseases.

Good luck in your career.
