What can I do during undergraduate school to help my chances of getting into a prestigious top Law School?

It's my dream to be a lawyer. I believe our current judicial system is corrupt and a lot of people are suffering as a result of it. I want to learn about the system, integrate myself into the system and eventually (and hopefully) help change it. However, if I want to make such a colossal change I need to be educated by the best who know the system inside and out. I would love to know exactly what steps I need to take to make this a possibility for me. #bethechange

Stephanie, like apply to undergrad again, law schools look at 4 things: your GPA, your test scores (LSAT for law), your extracurricular activities, and finally your essay/statement of interest when you apply to law school. To get into a good law school, you need to do as well as you can in those four categories. Being balanced among four different traits can be hard, but doing so will result in the best chances that you have of getting accepted into the law school of your dreams. The two most important factors are your LSAT score and your GPA, I'd say they count for 80% of the reason for your acceptance/denial when you apply to law school. The other two categories, personal essay and extracurricular activities make up the remaining 20% of the equation.

I wish you the best of luck in undergrad and hope you do great!!

Best,

Austin
