how long does it take to become a occupational therapist?

I am currently deciding on what I want to choose to be my career path as I am becoming a senior this august, I am in a program where I will be graduating with my high school diploma and my associates in Arts. I really enjoy working with children and I don't want to be a nurse, my other option is a teacher, but I would like something that pays well too. If there are any other career options please let me know! #helpajuniorout

Shine,

This is a very important time for you as you weave through and truly decide what it is that you want to do and where you want to go in your career, the best advice I can honestly give you is research the fields you are interested in. Also look into reaching out to professionals in those areas and inquire with them about picking their brains and possibly shadowing them for a day so you can see first hand how it is to be that type of career professional. Always keep an open mind, good pay is important but so is your passion for what you do.
