Daniella, Choosing to become a nurse is a wonderful thing! While you are in nursing school you will be exposed to the many different avenues that are available in nursing. And my guess is that there will still be many that you will learn about after you finish school. One of the positive aspects of nursing is that you can explore the many facets of healthcare-geriatrics, pediatrics, surgical, home health, information technology, education...the list goes on. You will find your niche-we all do. Good luck in your future endeavors in nursing! Jane

Richard’s Answer

After obtaining a nursing degree, there are so many pathways open to nurses: jobs in hospitals or clinics, working with critically ill patients or providing preventative care for healthy people, working in procedure oriented specialties such as surgery or cardiology, management or clinical medicine, even pursuing advanced degrees such as becoming a nurse practitioner or CRNA.
