Hello! Saving money during college is always a challenge. Best of luck on that. In order to become an SLP, you require a Bachelors and Masters degree. This took me seven years (I originally majored in something else). Off the top of my head, my tuition cost a total of around $60-70,000. I’ve been out of school for five years and have paid off my loans. Do keep in mind, if you work in an urban school or rural location, there are federal grants which will repay your loans in its entirety after a certain amount of time! Hope this helps and best of luck!

Hi ! I hope I am not too late answering your question. If you are looking to save money take a look at state schools. I am a product of 2 schools in the SUNY system (Univ @ Buffalo and Geneseo) and I was well prepared for my next steps as an SLP. If it is possible to commute from home (or apartment) that will also reduce costs. I wish you well on your adventure!
