jen’s Answer

It depends! Ideally you want to lock on a job offer a semester before you graduate. Most industries recruit both in the Fall and Spring. Throughout college, continuously apply for internships as those experiences will help you find a fulltime job faster. Good luck!

It all depends on what you major in. Engineers typically have a job before graduation.

Amelia’s Answer

Great question! It really depends on what you major on in college. Different industries hire at different times of the year. I went into consulting so the recruiting process was mostly done in September so I had an offer by the second week of October. In comparison, my friend was looking for a marketing job and she did not find something until May. If I was you, I would ask students who are a year or two older what jobs they applied for and how the recruiting process worked. This not only helps you prepare for interviews but also gives you an idea when you can expect to have a job.

Amelia recommends the following next steps:

Talk to older students
Make a list of potential jobs
