What can we do to push a conversation on lowering tuiton prices?
It's obvious that education is expensive. What are some things we can do to try and get negotiations considered for lower tuition?

Hello Margot, this is a really great question and one that is close to my heart as well.
I would write to your local legislators and your state senator. To find your local legislator, you can go to sites such as openstates.org. You can also encourage and ask other to join in writing letters.
Use social media to your advantage! you can start a social media page to find other who wish to make education more accessible to everyone by lowering tuition costs and who wish to do something about our current student loan debt problem.
I would also create a google alert for news relating to college tuition to stay informed about what is happening around the topic.

Hi Magot,
I set up a meeting with the Financial Aid Team at the School and had a direct conversation about the tuition and what exactly our family could withstand. They did work with us and my son got 2 scholarships which paid for his housing for the 4 years. For this meeting I would give the suggestion "you get more bees with honey" ---- My son expressed how much he wanted to go to this school and the reasons why. He stressed his GPA and extracurricular activities which were in line with the school's philosophy and mission. I wish you much luck.
