I always fall back to a statement that has made a big change in my life. "What gets scheduled gets done." Spread your work out into manageable chunks and schedule doing it into your day/week. Start your work immediately after it's assigned so you can get a feel for how difficult it is and how long you think it will take. That will help you not fall behind.

You have to prioritize your tasks. When I think of college activities, I think of things such as football games, frat/sorority gatherings, on campus pep rallies etc. Your school work has to come first. The good thing is that the majority of your classes will be spread out so you'll have a couple of days to get assignments complete but don't procrastinate. Have fun and balance it out.

This is a tough question to answer as all college activities are going to require different levels of commitment. What I can say is no matter what you do, do something. And by that I mean find your "tribe" and get involved! Balancing can be tough, get yourself a planner and force yourself to use it, form the habit and you will not regret always being on time and not rushing around! I wish you the best of luck!
