What's the best Major for me??

I am a Senior in high school, and it's that time that I have to start looking at colleges and applying for them and scholarships, but I'm unsure of the exact major I wish to pursue! I really want to pursue something that involves mythologies/folklore, and I've looked at ancient history majors as well as archeology and anthropology, but I don't know if those are the right majors to e looking at for the field I want. #choosing-a-major, #majors, #college-major

I wouldn't worry about choosing a major now. In your first year, focus on getting core credits you need to graduate (math, science, geography). Take some electives in the fields that you are interested, talk to your professors and see if you can talk to alumni from your college that graduated with degrees you are interested in (or even just talk to current students and see what their plans are. That will help you figure out in your second year where you want to major. You'll have plenty of time to decide- the important part is gathering the information to help you be confident in your decision.

Melanie’s Answer

Miah, great question.

Ask yourself when you feel the most energized? What is that activity? What makes you feel like you are putting your best foot forward and being challenged at the same time? What inspires YOU?

Start taking a look at the book Strengths Finder 2.0 and take the assessment about your strengths.
