Daniel’s Answer

Depends on the major(s), field, employer, etc.

I have three separate undergraduate degrees, and no employers actually cared about anything except the main, relevant degree. The rare question about other degrees was always more of the form "Why did you spend (waste) so much time on other majors?". Because it's true, I could have gotten out of undergrad a full 3-4 semesters earlier and $15-$20k richer with just a single major.

I'm sure there exist other fields or employers where they might care more.

Simeon’s Answer

The main benefit of double majoring is not that an employer considering you for employment will find you a more appealing prospect. Instead, having a double major offers you more career options and jobs to apply to. You could double up on similar degrees for both majors, but I'd advise that you choose fields that aren't related to each other so you can spread out your options.
