Hello Madison, I also live in Texas and my advice for you is to visit the APTA website where you can get more information on what physical therapy is all about and know more about what physical therapists do! There are plenty of PT schools in Texas but it really depends on where you live and what you're plans are. You can also visit the CAPTE website and click on Students then click choosing a program. Also, don't forget to click how CAPTE can help you so that it can give you a better idea on what information you can get in choosing the program for PT. I hope this helps you in choosing your school.

Hi Madison,

I am from Texas, but went to PT school in Florida. Finding a college can be hard. Definitely visit different schools if you have the chance! You don't have to go to a PT school at the same place you go to college. In Texas, PT schools are very competitive, so make sure you keep your grades up and study hard! But there are lots of good PT schools all over the country; you just need to find the right one for you. I suggest applying to several different schools, so you have a choice of where you want to go! Good luck!

Hello Madison,
Here is a good website to start if you're interested in PT schools in Texas. If you live in the area I would try and go visit them! Or definitely start by looking at some of their websites. You can also always google Physical therapists in the city you live in, call, tell them a little about yourself, that you're interested in PT and ask if you can volunteer/shadow them. I'm sure the working PT's in your area can give you some good advice about PT colleges as well. Let me know if you need more help!
