What type of engineers make cars or buildings

Mechanical engineers will make cars, Civil engineers will make buildings

An Automotive Engineer or Mechanical Engineer makes cars. Electronics Engineer also helps certain parts in car. A Civil Engineer builds buildings.

I have a slightly different opinion. Building involve more than just architecture. But architecture is split with those that do the aesthetics ant these that do the structure. But Civil engineers are the ones the get into the structure and foundations. MEs work on the HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) . Electrical engineers work on the power requirements. It takes a team.

Cars are have a lot of mechanical engineers. But new vehicles have a lot of electronics and they require electrical engineers and firmware engineers. And don't forget that it take manufacturing engineers to actually mass produce the vehicle.

What Sameer and Jorge said. Another thing to consider is architecture for buildings. They focus more on the shape and aesthetics of the building rather than the details of putting it up. All of those fields require a lot of math, though, even architecture. A friend of mine washed out of architecture school because she didn't want to do the math.
