This depends on where you are located. All large cities and large population centers like university towns or clustered suburbs should have a good variety of opportunities. You should probably plan on needing to work in a city with more than 100,000 people in it for multiple options. This applies to whether you are working for an employer, which I would recommend for a few years, or self employed.

Hi Sahana, you can open your avenues to get the first job as an Interior Designer. You can start by assisting any Interior designer to gain experience and to learn the nuances of the job. You can also use social media and start freelancing by showcasing your unique style and creativity. It takes some time to get word of mouth publicity but through the good use of social media and good work you can make a name for yourself. There are reputed Construction Companies as well who hire Interior designer for their premium projects. You can try that also.
