I don't think there are any colleges that just cost 200 dollars per semester. You'll likely have to explore scholarships, work study programs, community colleges, or online colleges to pursue your degree. Public universities are more likely to be affordable as well. If a college's main focus is art, you'll likely need even more scholarships to get in, but many colleges have a decent art program. I went to Houston Baptist University for undergrad and we had a good art degree, but know that HBU isn't the most affordable college you're likely to consider.

Hi, well yes, no way anything is in the $200 range but try other things. Loans, grants from the govt. and other artistic avenues. These days, so many variety of grants for all kinds of people and much easier to get some free money. Scholarship sponsor, look at some programs that offer people in certain financial situations, a leg up. Do your homework, I mean research. I would recommend college for sure but many, many options out there. The answer above has some great ideas as well. But main thing is first to find out what you want to do, then deal with the money. Good luck.

Hi Paris,

Unfortunately there aren't any colleges where you can go for $200. Your books alone could cost you $200 for one semester. For me, tuition was about $40,000 per year, BUT because my family cannot afford to pay that much, I received "financial aid" from the school. This means that the school helped pay part of my tuition through offering me scholarships and grants for my good grades. In college, most students need to take out loans, which you will need to pay back slowly each month after you graduate.

If college isn't the right fit for you, there are a lot of great art programs at technical and trade schools. You could go to school for graphic design and learn web site design, video game design, and digital photography. These types of programs are about 1.5 to 2 years and are much cheaper!

Hi,

If you are experiencing financial hardships, you can apply for pell grant and scholarship. Of course loan is another option. With loans the interest is low and you don't normally have to reimburse until after graduation. If neither is granted, my advice is for you to attend a community college, where the tuition should be much lower than private or public universities. Hope this helps, and best of luck to you. College years should be some of the best time of your life so try not to sweat it too much
