If you are serioius about becoming an office in the US Marine Corps I would suggest you look into the requirements for entry into the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. Upon graduation you're an office in the Marines. But it takes a lot of hard work and you need to nominated to attend the academy. Do your research and maybe even consider reaching out to your US Congressman for advice. Best of luck to you!

The reality is that you can get a degree in whatever you like and become a Marine Corps officer. Your chances may be a little better with a particular degree depending on what the Marine Corps is looking for at the time you get to college. My advice is to major in whatever you are most interested in. That way you will enjoy your coursework and get good grades which is important when you are competing with others for any job.
The main academic requirement to be an officer in any service is to have a Bachelors degree. What that degree is in isn't important unless the service isn't accepting many applicants at the time and is looking for only specific degrees. You can check on that when you are entering college. Until then just do your best in school because grades are always important for any job application.

Complete a Bachelor's Degree or College Coursework. Most candidates are required to have a bachelor's degree in order to be considered for a commission as an officer. However, an exceptional Marine who has not completed college may enroll in the Marine Corps Enlisted Commissioning Educational Program.
Key Skills : Leadership, management, physical abilities, communications; other skills depend on occupational specialty, computer skills relevant to specialty, technical mastery of relevant equipment
Additional Requirements : Score 115 or higher on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB); pass physical fitness test

Hi,
That is a great question...lots of different answers to this one. 1) Depending on what you want to do in the Marine Corp, I would suggest taking at least some courses in that area...example, engineering for construction, aeronautics for pilot, etc 2) Also think about what you want to do after your military service in a civilian career, it would be good if you had a degree and some experience in the military for when you get out and want to work in the civilian word.
I would also suggest researching Marine Corps careers in the USMC website.
Good luck!
