Is it safe to take gap years for internships
Most people drop out to pursue a job opportunity, but I would prefer not to go down that path however is it recommended to go through with a presented job/internship or to continue with school until the very end? #career #experience

Each individual situation is different, but the best way for you to proceed is to get to know yourself well enough to confirm a career choice and then do live in person networking with professionals in your career field to get their advice. Here is a good plan of action that should bring good results to your quest for answers.
Getting to know yourself and how your personality traits relate to people involved in various career opportunities is very important in your decision making process. During my many years in Human Resources and College Recruiting, I ran across too many students who had skipped this very important step and ended up in a job situation which for which they were not well suited. Selecting a career area is like buying a pair of shoes. First you have to be properly fitted for the correct size, and then you need to try on and walk in the various shoe options to determine which is fits the best and is most comfortable for you to wear. Following are some important steps which I developed during my career which have been helpful to many .

I do agree with the theme of Ken's response, which is to get to know yourself and find ways to get exposed to as many careers or types of work as you can. Depending on where your interests and strengths lie, and your exposure to different types of work, you may find your answer quickly, or it could take a long time.
Looking back at my own career, my internships and various jobs across a multitude of industries while in college has helped expand my exposure and created a strong foundation for a diverse career.
